Steve is an Investment Advisor in the Orange County office and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.  He is also a member of the Manager Selection Sub-Committee, the Asset Allocation Sub-Committee, and the 401k Sub-Committee.

Steve has over twenty years of experience in the investment management and financial services industry with responsibility for investment advice for high net worth individuals and institutional clients.

Prior to joining HPM Partners, Steve was a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management’s Orange County, California office. Steve was a member of the US Investment Committee, responsible for asset allocation and manager review for investment assets in client portfolios. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 1999, he was a Vice President and Executive Portfolio Manager for Bank of America Investment Management.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Diego State University and his Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He completed courses in Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Wealth Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Steve is a member of the Los Angeles and Orange County Society of Financial Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research. Steve is an adjunct instructor in the Finance Department at San Diego State University, where he has taught courses in Portfolio Management, Investments and Financial Management. He was also an instructor at University of California San Diego and California State University, Fullerton.
